A graduate of Charles University in Prague (in Art History, Italian, French), Blanka Kubíková has taken part in study abroad programs at the Institut Catholique de Paris (1991–1992), Università degli Studi in Florence (in 1993), and Università degli Studi la Sapienza in Rome (in 1996). In 1998, she received the Dr Alfred Bader Scholarship (Veneto).
Specialising in 16th and 17th century Dutch and Flemish prints and drawings, she has been working in the NGP’s Collection of Prints and Drawings since 2007; her interests include Old Master Italian and French printmaking, Renaissance painting, and portrait.
