A graduate in Art History from the Palacký University Olomouc, Andrea Steckerová focuses on 17th and 18th Czech and Dutch painting, taking a long-term interest in the work of Petr Brandl, a Baroque painter. She works as a curator in the Collection of Old Masters of the National Gallery Prague, managing the collection of Czech Baroque art (paintings and sculptures) and Dutch painting of 17th and 18th century. Dr Steckerová has also received several international scholarships (e.g. Clark/Mellon Curatorial Fellowship) and grants.
