After graduating in Art History and Aesthetics (1988–1994, Faculty of Arts of Charles University; study stay in the Centre Georges Pompidou Paris in 1990), Marie Bergmanová worked as a curator (1994–1995, Regional Gallery of Fine Arts Zlín), lecturer (1996 NG – Collection of Modern and Contemporary Art), curator and registrar (1997–2000, NG CMCA), and painting collection curator (2008–2011, ČMVU/Gallery of the Central Bohemian Region). She has worked as an expert editor for fine arts literature in the Gallery (2000–2004) and Arbor vitae (2012–2018) publishing houses. Marie Bergmanová authored the exhibitions and publications Jiří Kolář – Collector (NG–CMCA, 2001) and Collection 1 2 3: The Tracks of History in Acquisitions (GASK, 2010). She contributed to exhibitions and monographs, for example The Double Power of Painting / Jitka and Květa Válovy (2000, NG–CMCA) and Tanec v ruinách. Nálezy Jiřího Koláře (2014).
