The aim of LINDAT/CLARIAH-CZ is to enable open access to digitized data resources of language technologies, arts and humanities for the research community and for students both in the Czech Republic and in the EU and, at the same, to gain access to similar resources available in the pan-European networks CLARIN and DARIAH. LINDAT/CLARIAH-CZ takes part in the international cooperation between infrastructures of a similar type, and also directly between relevant institutions across the humanities, putting emphasis on digital and interdisciplinary processing methods including modern methods of machine learning and artificial intelligence. Another integral part of LINDAT/CLARIAH-CZ is the analysis of legal aspects of the use of resources from the domain of humanities with regard to possible legal restrictions concerning authorship rights, and to the minimization of the impact of these restrictions on research work. LINDAT/CLARIAH-CZ also offers know-how and provides software tools for language resources processing and other digital data. It is also involved in the development of language technologies, addressing the needs and providing services for industries, including culture and the arts.
