General Terms and Conditions of the NGP Club of Friends

The NGP Club of Friends is a membership program of the National Gallery Prague, with its registered office at Staroměstské náměstí 606/12, 110 15, Prague 1, IN: 00023281 (hereinafter as the “NGP”), with aim to create a community of lovers of art and all supporters of the NGP.

The NGP Club of Friends offers membership that comes with benefits in five different categories, i.e.: 

(i)             Friend
(ii)            Friend Plus 
(iii)           Senior 
(iv)           Supporter  
(v)            Patron. 

Those, who wish to become a member of the NGP Club of Friends, must choose a membership category upon their registration in the NGP Club of Friends – the membership category cannot be changed later on. 

The Senior membership category is intended for persons over 65. When buying their membership or picking up their membership card at an NGP ticket office, they must prove their age by presenting their valid identity card with their photo. The Senior membership can be purchased at an NGP ticket office only (or can be ordered online, but the membership fee must be paid at an NGP ticket office).  

The scope of benefits depends on the selected membership category, and the benefits are provided to the membership card holder only, unless explicitly specified otherwise. The list of benefits provided for each membership category is available at www.ngprague.cz as well as in the information flier of the NGP Club of Friends.

The NGP reserves the right to change, replace or cancel the content of benefits of individual member categories at any time during a calendar year with or without prior notice.

The benefits provided with membership in the NGP Club of Friends (the scope of provided benefits depends on the selected membership category) are as follows:

(i)             Unlimited access to NGP collection and short-term exhibitions for each member of the NGP Club of Friends and potentially one accompanying person; the accompanying person shall be allowed to enter the NGP exhibition premises based on the membership card presented by the accompanying member of the NGP Club of Friends, i.e. shall not have to pick up and present a valid ticket (this applies only to the members with a QR code generated to their membership card; the other members of the NGP Club of Friends shall still be required to present their valid ticket as well as the ticket of the accompanying person before entering the NGP exhibition premises).

(ii)            Reduced admission to NGP guided tours for each member of the NGP Club of Friends and potentially one accompanying person; reduced admission to NGP guided tours is be available until the capacity of a specific event is exhausted. In the case that admission to an event must be booked in advance, both the members of the NGP Club of Friends and any potential accompanying person must do so.

(iii)           No waiting and queuing; the members of the NGP Club of Friends can enter NGP exhibitions and expositions directly with their membership card and do not need to pick up their ticket at the ticket office;any potential limited admission to the NGP premises applies to the members of the NGP Club of Friends as well (e.g. the requirement to book time slots for selected exhibitions, etc.). The benefit applies only to the members with a QR code generated to their membership card; the other members of the NGP Club of Friends shall be still required to present their valid ticket and the ticket of the accompanying person before entering the NGP exhibition premises, which means that they need to pick up their valid ticket at the NGP ticket office.

(iv)           Possibility to bring guests to the NGP (2 or 4 persons, depending on the selected membership category) with 50% off regular admission. Reduced admission for accompanying persons must be purchased at the NGP ticket office before entering the exhibition premises; tickets for accompanying persons must be used on the day of their purchase.  

(v)            Special gatherings of the members of the NGP Club of Friends; the number and format of member events is decided solely by the NGP. The capacity of individual member events may be limited; Therefore, the NGP does not guarantee that all persons interested in a specific event shall be able to attend. Member gatherings can be organized for all members of the NGP Club of Friends or for selected membership categories of the NGP Club of Friends only.

(vi)           Regular information and news from the NGP and marketing and commercial messages sent by e-mail; in order to enjoy this benefit, the members of the NGP Club of Friends must provide their valid and functioning e-mail address. The members of the NGP Club of Friends are advised to check their SPAM/Unsolicited Bulk/Commercial E-mail box and to save the e-mail address klubpratel@ngprague.cz in their contact list. The NGP shall not be responsible for not providing this benefit, in the case that the members of the NGP Club of Friends provide an incorrect or non-functioning e-mail address.

(vii)         A discount in Café NGP Kinský, Café Kolektor and Kuchyně Restaurant - the discount size depends on the current agreement between the NGP and the selected restaurants/cafés. The discount can be claimed based on a presented valid membership card of the NGP Club of Friends.

(viii)        A discount on books and other merchandise in NGP shops. The discount can be claimed based on a presented valid membership card of the NGP Club of Friends. It is up to the NGP to decide for which books and merchandise the discount shall be provided. 

(ix)           A discount on an annual subscription to the Art Antiques magazine. To get the discount, the members of the NGP Club of Friends must enter a code when purchasing the Art Antiques magazine at www.artantiques.cz; the code shall be sent to their e-mail address after they purchased their membership in the NGP Club of Friends.

(x)            An invitation to NGP VIP events (vernissage, meetings with exhibiting artists or curators, etc.). The choice is up to the NGP. 

(xi)           A gift from the NGP – chosen by the NGP.

(xii)         A 10% discount on art history courses - until the course capacity is exhausted. The course must be booked in advance.

The membership fee of the Patron category and the benefits provided to the members of this category shall always depend on an individual agreement.

Any individual, who fills out the membership application of the NGP Club of Friends or provides his/her registration details at any NGP ticket office and pays his/her annual membership fee for the selected category, can become a member of the NGP Club of Friends.

By paying the membership fee, a member of the NGP Club of Friends confirms that he/ she has read, and agrees with, the General Terms and Conditions of the Membership Program of the NGP Club of Friends and the Personal Data Processing and Protection Policy posted on www.ngprague.cz. 

Membership in the NGP Club of Friends can be ordered and the application for the selected membership category can be filled out online at www.ngprague.cz or in person at any NGP ticket office.

Membership in the NGP Club of Friends can be donated to another person. In such a case, the donor shall purchase (online or at any NGP ticket office) a gift voucher for the selected membership category, which the person who received the gift voucher must exchange (online or at any NGP ticket office) for a membership card of the NGP Club of Friends within 2 (two) months from the date of purchase. In the case that the person received a Senior gift voucher, he/she shall be asked to prove his/her age when exchanging the gift voucher for a membership card. In the case that his/her age cannot be proven, the gift voucher shall not be accepted and the person shall not receive a membership card of the NGP Club of Friends.

Membership in the NGP Club of Friends can be renewed online at www.ngprague.cz or at any NGP ticket office.Newly renewed memberships are always subject to the currently valid conditions of membership in the NGP Club of Friends (including a potential increase in the membership fee).

The membership card provides its holder with unlimited access to all collection expositions and exhibitions organized by the NGP on the NGP premises (i.e. Trade Fair Palace, Sternberg Palace, Schwarzenberg Palace, Salm Palace, Kinský Palace, Convent of St. Agnes of Bohemia and Waldstein Riding School) as well as with the benefits of the selected membership category of the NGP Club of Friends for one year from the date of its purchase. When entering the NGP exhibition premises, the members of the NGP Club of Friends must present their valid membership card of the NGP Club of Friends. The current members of the NGP Club of Friends (i.e. the members without a QR code generated to their membership cards) are still required to present their valid ticket, which they shall receive based on their membership card of the NGP Club of Friends presented at any NGP ticket office, before entering the NGP exhibition premises.   

The membership card becomes valid as soon as the membership fee is paid. The membership card in the form of online QR code is delivered immediately after payment. The members of the NGP Club of Friends can also pick up their membership card (in physical form) at any NGP ticket office.

The membership card is non-transferable - it is registered under the first and last name of the member of the NGP Club of Friends. The NGP reserves the right to verify the identity of the holder of the presented membership card of the NGP Club of Friends. In the case of any unauthorized use of the membership card of the NGP Club of Friends (it is provided to someone else), the NGP shall be allowed to confiscate the membership card and to terminate the membership in the NGP Club of Friends without any compensation.

The members of the NGP Club of Friends must immediately report their lost, stolen or damaged membership card of the NGP Club of Friends to the NGP at klubpratel@ngprague.cz.

The membership fee can be paid by non-cash transfer to the NGP account at  www.ngprague.cz (in the case that the membership is purchased online) or in cash or with credit card (in the case that the membership is purchased at an NGP ticket office).

The membership fee for each membership category of the NGP Club of Friends is posted on www.ngprague.cz and provided in the information flier of the NGP Club of Friends (except for the Patron category). 

The paid membership fee is non-refundable.  

The NGP reserves the right to change membership fees at any time during a calendar year. However, this does not apply to already purchased memberships.

The NGP collects and processes the personal data of the members of the NGP Club of Friends in compliance with legislation governing the protection of personal data, in particular Act no. 110/2019 of Coll., on the processing of personal data, as amended, Act no. 480/2004 of Coll., on certain information society services, and Regulation (EU) no. 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council, the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter as the "GDPR").

The NGP collects and processes the identification personal data of the members of the NGP Club of Friends (i.e. first and last name, age and gender), their contact personal data (i.e. address, telephone number, e-mail address, preferred communication language) and other personal data to evaluate certain personal aspects of individual members of the NGP Club of Friends (i.e. in particular information concerning the use of their membership, which means the use of their membership card and benefits provided with their membership).

A member of the NGP Club of Friends may consent to the collection and processing of his/her personal data for the purpose of receiving targeted marketing communications. Personal data collected and processed with the consent of a member of the NGP Club of Friends shall be mainly used to analyze or estimate his/her personal preferences and interests. The purpose of collecting and processing the personal data of the members of NGP Club of Friends based on their consent is to create personalized care for the members of the NGP Club of Friends in such a way that would allow the NGP to prepare the most attractive program tailored to their interests and to modify and further develop the member program of the NGP Club of Friends.

The members of the NGP Club of Friends can provide their consent by checking the appropriate checkbox when purchasing their membership online or by signing the appropriate consent form when purchasing their membership at an NGP ticket office. The members of the NGP Club of Friends can withdraw, change, expand or limit their consent at any time at any NGP ticket office or by an e-mail request sent to klubpratel@ngprague.cz.

Personal data shall be processed during the time of membership in the NGP Club of Friends and for five years after membership was terminated. The processing of personal data shall be terminated and the processed personal data anonymized after the expiry of the legitimate processing period.

In order to fulfill its obligations and duties, the NGP uses professional and specialized services of other entities (providers) that provide administrative and professional services or technical support or perform marketing, commercial or other specific activities for the NGP. In the case that these providers process the personal data of the members of the NGP Club of Friends provided by the NGP, they shall have the status of personal data processors, shall process such personal data in compliance with the NGP’s instructions only and shall not be allowed to use such data in any other way.

The General Terms and Conditions of the NGP Club of Friends are posted on www.ngprague.cz  and are available at any NGP ticket office.

The NGP reserves the right to change these General Terms and Conditions of the NGP Club of Friends, or any part thereof, at any time, with or without prior notice. The NGP thus reserves the right to change, in particular but not limited to, the content of the benefits of individual membership categories, the percentage of provided discounts and the amount of membership fees. Such a change shall come into force on the day the updated General Terms and Conditions of the Membership Program of the NGP Club of Friends are posted on www.ngprague.cz. The members of the NGP Club of Friends shall be informed about these changes by e-mail sent to their email address as well as on the NGP website, where the updated text of the General Terms and Conditions of the NGP Club of Friends shall be posted.

The NGP reserves the right to terminate the program of the NGP Club of Friends at any time.

These General Terms and Conditions of the Membership Program of the NGP Club of Friends come into effect on 1 December 2021.
