Witness the culmination of unique research, in which eleven dance makers from the Czech Republic and the U.S. will “work through” physical, kinesthetic and movement ideas linked to the artistic intention of individual works within the exhibition 1796–1918: Art of the Long Century, part of the National Gallery in Prague’s permanent collection, in real time. The work also responds to the curatorial intention of the exhibition as a whole.
The unique way of work of six American and five Czech dance creators under the direction of choreographer Sue Schroeder (U.S.) is a reflection of both creative approaches and the works included in the exhibition, characterized by a certain departure from traditional ideas about dance, debate on fine arts and at the same time allows us to approach the telling of the "story of art" from a kinesthetic point of view.
The performance will be livestreamed from the Czech Republic (16:00 CET) and United States (10:00 EST) simultaneously. The livestream will be held on Mall TV.
