A graduate in Aesthetics and Art History from the Faculty of Arts of
Charles University, Monika Švec Sybolová has worked as an external lecturer in
the Collection of Nineteenth Century Art of the NGP since 1993 and as an
educator since 2000. She prepared concepts and implementations of public,
educational and first-hand programmes for several exhibitions: Master
Theodoric, Gothic Art and Architecture in Western Bohemia, Julius Mařák and his
Students, Václav Brožík, František Ženíšek, Emil Filla, Mikoláš Aleš, Otakar
Lebeda, The Mánes Family, The Piepenhagen Family, Jakub Schikaneder, Wilhelm
Riedel, Theodor Pištěk, The Road to Amorpha and Mysterious Distances. Monika
Švec Sybolová focuses on educational programmes for permanent exhibitions,
targeting secondary schools, adults and the elderly. She organises and prepares
art history courses, summer landscaping workshops, weekend workshops,
cooperating with the platform Do You Have a Knack for Art?. Monika Švec
Sybolová specialises in fine arts interpretation via motion, music and text.
She has completed the following courses: Drama Class for the Contemporary
School, Basic Introduction to Museology, Touch-Breath-Movement etc,
co-authoring children’s books Deník Jakuba S. (The Diary of Jakub S.)
and Čapek & Čapek.
