Restorer of collection items made of metal, Dušan Perlík specialises on conservation and restoration of archaeological metal finds. His scientific activities include low-pressure hydrogen plasma artefact treatment as well as methods of stabilising iron finds. Furthermore, Dušan Perlík focuses on non-destructive evaluation of collection items made of metal. Currently, he is especially interested in preventive conservation methods, long-term storage requirements of collection items, and the subject of depository buildings.
Dušan Perlík worked as a conservator-restorer in the Central Bohemian Museum in Roztoky, NTNU Vitenskapsmuseet in Trondheim, UiT Tromsø Museum in Tromsø, and as a private restorer.
