A graduate in Art History from the Faculty of Arts of Charles University, Štěpánka Chlumská works in the Collection of Old Masters as a curator of the panel painting fund and the fund of Bohemical sculpture from 1200 to 1550. Her focus lies in late Gothic and early Renaissance art, especially in panel painting and historical technologies. She has authored and curated many exhibitions and publications – for example, she is co-author and main curator of the current long-term installation of Medieval art in the Convent of St Agnes of Bohemia, also serving as a guarantor of the expert section in the Convent of St Agnes of Bohemia garden revitalization project (EHP-CZ06-OV-1-042-2014). Chlumská co-authored and curated the tour examining the architecture of the convent, the lapidarium, and the convent’s sculpture gardens. She is a guarantor of the art history section of the project titled “Historical technologies and modern research methods” (NAKI, DF13P01OV010).
