The Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic is the central state administrative body for the arts, cultural and educational activities, cultural monuments, matters relating to churches, religious societies, the press etc. The National Gallery Prague is one of nearly twenty contributory organisations of the Ministry, engaging in multi-level cooperation with its founder. Important activities of the NGP often occur under the auspices of the Minister of Culture, who participates in key gallery events alongside other Ministry officials.
