Dr. Kathryn L. Libin is Mary Conover Mellon Professor of Music at Vassar
College, and Senior Music Advisor to The Lobkowicz Collections. During
the past ten years she has worked with a team that catalogued the
Lobkowicz Music Archive, and co-curated the new music galleries in the
Lobkowicz Palace museum in Prague. She has published two volumes in The
Lobkowicz Collections Music Series, on its musical highlights and on its
Beethoven sources, and is currently writing a book titled Franz Joseph
Maximilian Lobkowitz and Musical Culture in Vienna and Bohemia. She has
served as president of the Mozart Society of America and the American
Musical Instrument Society.
