At the beginning of September, we opened the exhibition Mikuláš Medek: Naked in a Thorn. The retrospective, which is presented in three NGP buildings, has now undergone changes. From the exhibition, which includes over 150 works, 11 works were withdrawn from a private lender, of which one work from the Convent of St Agnes of Bohemia, one from the Trade Fair Palace, the others from the Wallenstein Riding School. We mutually agreed with the lender to withdraw the works, in accordance with the contract.
The concept of the project was created for NGP by the author duo Lenka Bydžovská and Karel Srp. Lukáš Machalický undertook the architectural design of the exhibition. The curators, in cooperation with the gallery, have prepared an alternative project proposal, so that the visitor will not be impoverished, the works will be gradually replaced in all three NGP buildings.
